1863 teaching seminary opened in Jyväskylä, also women students
admitted

1870 right to take the matriculation examination and to study
in the
university (with special permission)

1882 right to obtain an academic degree

1895 right to dispute and to obtain doctorship with the degree
of
licentiate

1901 full rights to academic study

1906 first appointment to docentship (with special dispensation)

1916 university positions opened for women

1926 positions in the public sector opened to women

1973 municipal daycare must be organized for children

1987 Act of Equality between Women and Men

1995 quota provision in the Act of Equality between
Women and Men
