Research interests
My main area of interest is sociology of science and technology, with special interest on biotechnology, biomedicine and biobanks. I'm also interested in understanding the co
ncepts of social responsibility and privacy as related to science and technology.

Current work

Currently I participate in a research project called PRIVATE Gen (Privacy Regimes Investigated: Variations, Adaptations and Transformations in an Era of (post-)Genomics. It is a multidisciplinary research project conducted in Finland, Germany and Austria dealing with biobanks and privacy.

My doctoral thesis on "Social Responsibility in Developing New Biotechnology" from 2009.
