Kurssilaiset kirjoittavat sovitusta proteiinien biokemiaan liittyvästä aiheesta äidinkielisen (tai englanninkielisen ellei suomi/ruotsi äidinkielenä) 2-3 sivuisen esseen. Lähdekirjallisuutena voi käyttää katsausartikkeleita, joita helpoimmin löytää PubMed-haulla (Valitse "Limits" ja "Type of article": Review ja "Tag terms": Title tai Title/Abstract. Kokeile eri hakutermejä). Kirjallisuuslähteet mainittava esityksessä. Valmis esitys toimitetaan KK:lle sähköpostitse (kari.keinanen_at_helsinki.fi) esim. Microsoft Word tai pdf- muodossa. Esitykset monistetaan ja jaetaan kaikille kurssilaisille. Esseen pohjalta pidetään lyhyt (max 10 min) suullinen esitys, jossa voi käyttää PowerPoint- tai muuta esitysgrafiikkaa. Käytössä on tietokone ja dataprojektori.
Students should write a 2-3 page essay on a given topic related to protein biochemistry in Finnish, Swedish or English (foreign students). Suitable review articles to be used as source material can be found by PubMed search (Choose "Limits", and then "Type of article": Review and "Tag terms": Title or Title/Abstract. Try different search terms. Literature references should be mentioned in the essay. The complete essay should be e-mailed to kari.keinanen_at_helsinki.fi in a Microsoft Word or pdf format. Printouts will be delivered to the attending students. Based on the topic of the essay, each student will give a short (max 10 min) oral presentation with Powerpoint or other presentation graphics. Computer and data projector are available.
