Ofcourse every page like this must have a  "recommended" section, yep, as if anyone cares... anyway, anyone reading this must read, see, listen, acquire etc. at least these...
  • It all begins from the undeniable trauma, too shameful to be confessed, the worst of all; reading, round about at the age of ten (the only excuse) just about every novel by Stephen King - cannot exactly be recommended..
  • Actually about at the same time I read also nearly everything by Asimov (especially the "Foundation" -triology and all that's related to it, probably all he ever wrote that is..). Marks of hope in the suburb..
  • And then there's of course the obligatory Camus, Kundera, Nietzche (and again I probably misspelled that too) etc...
  • Then, as perverted as it is, studying revealed the greatness of Sylvia Plath and Ted Hughes, especially Plath's later works.

Right, blah blah blah, ok .. I'll stop blabbering ... here are just some names:

  • Anne Michaels (Fugitive Pieces), Salman Rushdie (The Earth Beneath Her Feet), Vigdis Grimsdottir, Pelevin (Insect life (?)), Will Self (Large Apes), Kafka..
  • Smashing Pumpkins, Soundgarden, PJ Harvey, Radiohead, Tool, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, Mad Season, Suede, Mountain, ...
  • Crash, Kieslowsky's Blue, Veronica's Dual Life (or whatever it's called in English)...
