Anne Maria Holli, PhD, works as Post-doctoral Research Fellow (Academy of Finland) in the Department of Political Science at the University of Helsinki, Finland. Her major areas of research are in the fields of public equality policies, Nordic gender equality discourses and gender and politics. Holli is active in several domestic, Nordic, European and international comparative research projects on gender and politics.

1999 Member of an expert group at the Equality Office, Ministry of Social Affairs and Health, with the task of preparing political indicators for the Beijing PfA follow-up by the EU countries. Result: Presidency report on “Women in the decision-making process” (Doc. 11829/1/99) and the set of conclusions adopted by the Council of the European Union (Doc. 11862/99).
