"Quick-exam" variant for experienced users and those who prefer self-study, or as longer courses.
In 2008-2009 a quick version augmented with some tutoring sessions will be offered in the end of period 2 (november-december). Exact times to be announced later. See the right navigation pane.
To pass any part of the course, students must pass the entry-level test and show their command of the required knowledge and skills by taking monitored exams.
For the self-study alternavite, monitored exams are arranged in all periods (all groups are multilingual). A few tutorial sessions for students preparing for the exam will be arranged in period 2 (times to be announced later) A longer course for students requiring teaching will be arranged in the spring.
This program aims at introducing international students to Finland. It will provide a versatile picture of Finland; the eventful history, the idiosyncrasies of the society as well as law, media and other relevant topics.
The program consists of separate courses. They may be taken either individually or grouped together as a minor subject (the minimum requirement of the University of Helsinki for a minor subject is 25 Finnish study points). The courses are organised by several universities in the Helsinki Area.

The program is intended for all students registered at the faculties of the University of Helsinki. Also other students studying at the Metropolitan area may participate at the courses.
