Michel Della Negra

    Della Negra is a senior CERN physicist, who has participated in experiments at

    all hadron colliders at CERN. He already had a leading role in the experiments

    at the CERN Intersecting Storage Rings (ISR) in the 1970's and in the UA1

    experiment at the CERN SppS in the 1980's (discovery of the W and Z boson

    1983). He is now the spokesperson of the CMS experiment at CERN's next large

    scale project, the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), to start operating in 2007.
