Photon spectra
The emission spectra given below were measured with a LiCor LI-1800 spectroradiometer. The LI-1800 is a single monochromator spectroradiometer that with the normal slit we used has a half bandwidth of xx nm. Data are expressed as spectral photon irradiance. The light collector was pointed directly upwards, i.e. it was horizontal.
The spectra are shown for the range 300-900 nm, in spectral photon irradiance units.
- Sunlight and shadelight
Measured in the summer in Finland near solar noon. Open: clearcut in the forest, about 20 m from forest edge. Forest: inside the forest 15 m from the forest edge. Under clear sky conditions. Forest: mixed forest, quite dense with Norway spruce and silver birch. Measured as part of field course project at the Lammi research station of the University of Helsinki, by E.-L. Laiho, H. Lankia, K. Maisniemi, and M. Malinen under my supervision
