Prologue: My First Haircut

Ihanan hauras. Jotkut osaavat vielä nostattaa kertosäkeistöjä ilman että polkaistaan sitä voimapedaalia. Ja nostattaa vielä niin ettei mikään oikein nouse, paitsi fiilis. Prologuen kuulas ja hauras sointi on jotain muuta mihin demobändejä kuunnellessa yleensä törmää. Timo Miettisen ääni on välillä murtumaisillaan eikä autotunesta ole tietoakaan. Siksi laulu kuulostaa niin mielenkiintoiselta ja originellilta. Kaikki eivät varmasti pidä... niin kuin eivät Brunilankaan äänestä. Demon avausraita Spies nousee ylitse muiden ollen biisinä melkoisen passeli (suom. hyvä). Myös Is It People? toimii kaikessa kiireettömyydessään. Soitossa ei ole mitään kikkailua, ja hyvä niin, sillä taidot eivät siihen myöten antaisikaan.

Prologue: Spies

 

Ensin tulee mieleen Radiohead, mutta laulajan mukaantulo vie ajatukset Lemonatoriin. Poppailua kevyellä otteella tässä tarjotaan ja oikein hienosti biisi eteenpäin kulkee: kertaakaan ei kompastuta ja loppua kohti meininki senkun paranee. Mukava tuttavuus, josta kuullaan toivottavasti pian lisää.

"From the intro I could tell this would be great. The guitar playing is inventive and the effects on it are just right without being too much. The singer has not just a good voice but a distinctive one. When the singing started I wasn't sure i liked it but these fears were soon dispelled. I like the jaunty rhythm and the melody is great too."

Prologue: Is It People?

"Take me home guys. It is so refreshing to hear this type of indie talent. This song is hauntingly beautiful in every capacity. The most beautiful aspect of this song is that it makes me think of everything else in life that is beautiful. Looks like RadioHead and Mercury Rev have some competition. This is a masterpiece."

 

"I really liked the way that this tune kind of unravelled itself, from one section to the next it flowed. Quite exquisite songwriting, reminded me a little of Thom Yorke/Radiohead. The guitars were beautiful. A good example of 6/8 time there."
