Information Behaviour and
Strategic Collaboration Networks (IBSCoNet)
The aim of the research project is
to define the conceptual base for a theory of information behaviour in relation
to management of information and knowledge within the context of strategic collaboration
of networked enterprises. The foundation is based on the framework of Normann
& Ramírez (1994) and the value constellation concept (Huotari, 2000). The
purpose is to elaborate further the conceptual base of the proposed theory. It
has been strengthened with Chatman’s everyday-life information-seeking (
The ideas are utilized in two subprojects. A PhD-research
focusing on mobile work, document management and collective memory is in
progress in the Department of Information Studies, the
