Literature Survey II (Spring 2021)

(formerly Introduction to American Literature)

 

This course is primarily a survey of American literature from the Colonial period to the present. The course covers a wide variety of literature, including prose fiction, poetry, plays, lectures, speeches and graphic novels.  Students will also be introduced to representative works by English-language writers from places other than the United States and Great Britain.

The course is required for completion of intermediate studies for the BA degree.
