Talks
Alberto Setti: The generalized porous medium equation on weighted infinite graphs
We study existence and uniqueness of mild solutions to the generalized porous medium equation on infinite graphs. For constant sign integrable data, we prove the existence and uniqueness of mild solutions on any graph. For changing sign data, existence and uniqueness are established under extra assumptions such as local finiteness or a uniform lower bound on the node measure. This is joint work with Davide Bianchi and Radoslaw Wojciechowski.
Jean-Baptiste Casteras: Asymptotic Dirichlet problem and beyond
In this talk, I will briefly review my series of works on the asymptotic Dirichlet problem in collaboration with Ilkka Holopainen (along with Jorge de Lira, Esko Heinonen and Jaime Ripoll). If time permits, I will also talk about our new series of work related to the soliton resolution conjecture for the fourth order Schrödinger equation.
Esko Heinonen: From minamal surfaces to translating solitons of the mean curvature flow
I will discuss about some existence results for minimal surfaces and mean curvature flow translators in Riemannian product manifolds MxR. The talk is based on joint works with Ilkka Holopainen, Jean-Baptiste Casteras, Jorge de Lira, Francisco Martin, and Eddygledson Gama.
Juhani Koivisto: Measured group theory and quantitative orbit equivalence
In this talk, I will discuss some recent progress in measured group theory and quantitative orbit equivalence as a measured analogue to quasi-isometry.
Elefterios Soultanis: Non-smooth analysis from Samos to Jyväskylä
In early June 2010 in Samos, Greece, at my first ever conference, I refused a great opportunity for new students to give a short presentation on their research; I felt too inexperienced to speak in public on short notice when asked by Ilkka. Now 13 years later, on the occasion of celebrating Ilkka's career, I will finally give that presentation.
Pekka Pankka: Four generations of Picard theorems
I will discuss the evolution of Picard theorems for quasiregular mappings over the years.
Kirsi Peltonen: Folded Quasiregular Memories
In this talk we present some personal reminiscences on being part of the research group of Seppo Rickman together with Ilkka Holopainen. Through quasiregular mappings, we discuss about some phenomena related to origami and recent interdisciplinary approaches to paper folding.
