I am a theoretical cosmologist currently working at Helsinki University, Finland. I completed my PhD in September 2010 at the Cosmology and Astroparticle Physics Group, Lancaster University, where my supervisor was John McDonald.

I currently have two main research interests: Higgs inflation and curvatons. My PhD thesis focused on S-inflation - a model where dark matter is the inflaton. This is similar to Higgs inflation. I am also interested in the issue of unitarity and naturalness in this class of models.

With Kari Enqvist and Olli Taanila, I am working on the curvaton model. Specifically we are investigating the effects of consistently accounting for the fact that the curvaton must decay. This introduces additional terms in the effective potential which alter the predictions of the model.
