Contents Description

The Plant Photobiology Notes

Notes about the responses of plants to visible and ultraviolet radiation. It also includes information about the light environment in which plants grow, and on stratospheric ozone depletion and its effects on ultraviolet-B radiation at the earth surface.

There is some information about experimental methods, including spectral data for lamps and optical filters that may be of interest to researchers in other fields.

Although interested general public may find some interesting pages, this site is aimed at students and researchers working in Plant Biology.

My Home page(s)

This is the "Home" page that I use in my browser, and has a collection of links that I find useful or interesting enough to browse more or less regularly. I am a researcher working in the field of plant eco-physiology, and a modeller. So, most links have to do with plant science and computer programming.

Notes

A note about graphics

It is safe to disable the display of images (a browser option). There are pages with figures with data, but you should be able to load the images of interest individually. You might want to disable the display of images if you have a slow network connection (e.g. you are using an old telephone modem).
